Velory offers flexibility for companies to manage their device lifecycle communication. A configuration option under Device Lifecycle settings, allowing admins to decide whether employees should receive a renewal reminder email — or if the reminder should be disabled entirely.
This helps companies tailor the renewal experience to fit their internal policies and sustainability goals.

How the renewal reminder works
By default, employees receive an email reminder 30 days before their device renewal.
Example of this reminder email:
How to disable the reminder
Admins can turn off the reminder from:
Settings > Device Lifecycle > Renewal reminder
When the reminder is disabled, no email will be sent to employees before renewal. This can be useful for companies that want to extend the usage time of devices — supporting sustainability efforts and potentially reducing costs.
What happens when reminders are turned off
Even when the reminder is disabled:
- User budgets will still renew automatically according to your company configuration.
- Employees will only need to visit Velory when they are ready to order a new device.
- When they start a new order, they will first be prompted to manage their old device, ensuring accurate tracking and lifecycle data.
This configuration is particularly useful for companies that purchase devices outright, while customers using leased devices may prefer to keep the reminder active.
