Velory’s HiBob integration enables seamless, one-way synchronization of employee data into Velory, ensuring up-to-date user information while reducing manual effort. The integration imports key employee details, including user ID, name, email, job title, department, employment status, manager info, contact details, and office location. This automated sync keeps IT records accurate and aligned with HR data.
How to activate the integration
1. Sign in as an Admin
2. Go to Settings > Integrations > HR System Sync
3. Choose HiBob in the dropdown menu
4. Follow the steps in the checklist and add Service user ID and Service user token
5. When this is done, the user synchronization begins
6. The integration is completed when status is Active and Users are synchronized
Data fields added from HiBob
Velory imports the following information:
- ID of the user in the HR system
- System-assigned username (usually an email)
- Employee's first name
- Employee's last name
- Employee's job title
- Unique identifier for the employee within the organization (used for merging users between Directory and HR systems)
- Name of the department the employee belongs to (nullable)
- Name of the division the employee belongs to (nullable)
- Type of employment (e.g., full-time, contractor) (nullable)
- Cost center assigned to the employee (nullable)
- Employment status (e.g., active, inactive)
- Start date of employment (`YYYY-MM-DD`)
- End date of employment (`YYYY-MM-DD`), if applicable (nullable)
- Email address of the employee’s direct manager
- Unique ID of the employee’s direct manager (nullable)
- List of email addresses associated with the employee
- Type of email (`work`, `personal`, etc.)
- Email address
- Whether this is the primary email (boolean)
- Personal email address (nullable)
- List of phone numbers associated with the employee
- Type of phone number (`home`, `mobile`, etc.)
- Phone number
- Whether this is the primary phone number (boolean)
- List of groups the employee is a member of
- Unique identifier of the group
- Name of the group
- Office location of the employee (nullable)
- ID of the building where the employee is assigned (nullable)
- List of addresses associated with the employee
- Type of address (`home`, `work`, etc.)
- Street name and number
- City name
- ZIP or postal code
- Country name
- Whether this is the primary address (boolean)
- Full unstructured address string
How HR data works together with user data from Active Directory
If you are connecting both your HR system and your Active Directory, the HR system information will complement the data missing in the Active Directory. Example of such data: Start date employment and end date of employment.
