Benefits of connecting your HR system

By integrating your HR platform with Velory, you can:

How it works: HR system + Active Directory

Velory supports integrations with both HR systems and directory services such like Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace.

When both are connected:

• Active Directory acts as the primary source for user data.
  
  
• The HR system adds critical employment details not typically stored in AD, such as:
  
  
  • Start date
    
    
  • Termination date
    
    
  • Employment status (e.g., active, on leave, terminated)
    
    

Velory automatically merges data from both sources - using unique identifiers like email or employee ID - to ensure clean and centralized user records.

Use case: From personal email to company email

A common scenario made easier with HR integration:

1. An employee is added to the HR system during preboarding, listed with their personal email.
   
   
2. Once they’re added to Active Directory, Velory automatically updates the user record with their company email and SSO identity.
   
   

This seamless identity transition allows IT to:
