If your company manages budgets for employees, the default setting only allows purchases within the allocated budget limit. However, your company can choose to allow employees to place product requests exceeding their assigned budget.
The setting is available in company settings under Budget & attestation. The available functionality on the platform varies across markets due to differences in tax regulations among countries. As a company, it is your responsibility to thoroughly investigate and comply with current legislation on the markets where you are using Velory before you enable this setting and choose an option for handling budget overage.

Ways to handle budget overages
- The employee will pay the overage via salary deduction
- The employee will pay the overage via credit card
- The company will handle budget overages outside of Velory
If your company has this setting disabled, users won't be able to request devices exceeding their budget. Attempting to add a device surpassing the budget will trigger a message indicating that the specific device is above the budget limit, preventing devices above budget being sent as requests.

If you want to enable employees to place orders above their budget and want to handle budget overage independently this option will be best suitable for you. This will allow your employees to exceed their budget limits but the amount exceeding the budget will fully be handled by the company in the way your company has chosen to handle the exceeding amount.
For a user placing an order request the full price calculation indicated the total budget overage but there will be no payment information for the user in the platform.
As an admin you will be able to see an overview of all orders placed above budget to easily manage the costs for devices. Go to Asset management in the navigation bar, click on Employees and then Monthly payments. Here you are able to click on a row for comprehensive details about the device assigned to that specific employee and you can export the list to CSV.
