Questions and Answers
How to connect Intune MDM with Velory
- Go to your profile in the navigation bar and click Settings.
- Under Integrations, select Connections.
- In the list of available MDM solutions, click Connect next to Microsoft Intune.
- You’ll be redirected to the Microsoft login page. Sign in with your credentials and approve the requested Intune permissions.
Device synchronization will start within about 2 minutes and then continue automatically every night.
How it works
Once the Intune integration is active, you’ll gain access to a dedicated dashboard displaying:
- Devices that are currently enrolled
- Devices that are unmatched with assets in Velory
Enrolled & Unmatched Devices
Click Enrolled Devices or Unmatched Devices in the connection view to navigate directly to the Hardware Overview. Relevant filters will be applied automatically, and you can further filter devices by their status as needed.
Certificate & Token Information
To support seamless device management, Velory displays visual alerts to IT administrators when important certificates or tokens are approaching expiration.
- A yellow warning appears 45 days before the expiration date.
- A red warning appears 10 days before the expiration date if no renewal has been made.
These reminders appear both on the connection overview and in the Intune connection details view. Token and certificate renewals are handled directly in your Intune account. For guidance, refer to Microsoft Intune’s documentation.
Data Import
In the Data Import section, you can manage which data fields are included in the daily synchronization (scheduled at 6:30 AM, Stockholm time). All fields are enabled by default. If you deselect a field, it will be excluded from future syncs.
Examples of available data fields:
-
Model – The device model description
-
MDM Enrollment Date – When the device was first enrolled in Intune
-
Last Check-in – The most recent interaction with the MDM system
-
Device OS – Operating system version
-
Supervised – Indicates automated enrollment
-
Available Storage Capacity – Remaining storage on the device
-
User Full Name – The user assigned via the MDM system
All enabled data will be displayed on the respective device’s detail page.
Additional Reports
In addition to the standard MDM features in Velory, you can request access to a custom reporting dashboard, which includes:
- Comparisons between assets in Velory and Intune
- Enrollment insights and statistics
To activate these reports, contact support@velory.com, and we’ll help you get started.
Disconnect
To disconnect the Intune integration, click Disconnect Microsoft Intune on the connection details page. Once disconnected, all MDM-related data will be removed from Velory, including:
- The connection page
- Hardware overview
- Device details
- CSV exports
If you'd like to keep a copy of the data before disconnecting, we recommend exporting the Data with CSV first.
If the connection is inactive and you want to restore it, try disconnecting and reconnecting. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please contact Velory Support.
